Well my first endeaver what like this:
I have only played poker a half dozen times in my life, and it was always live. So I started out with Texas Holdem and had some interesting results. I played the $1.00 ante at 2 different tables. I deposited 100 dollars, and they gave me a 35 dollar sign up bonus. The first table was a strait game, calling when you are supposed to, folding at the right time, I enjoyed the players at the first table, I got my bankroll up to almost 250 dollars in less then 90 mins. Then I made a big mistake by changing tables, and these idiots for playing everysingle hand no matter what, I did not enjoy playing with people like this. I lost 100 bucks at the last table, but still up overall.
My rating of party poker is a good one. I cant give it a perfect score because one hand I got A-k on draw and the software froze up, it made me fold an A-k because they would not let me click my bet, and my timer ran out and gave me a default fold.
That's an interesting comment, Death. When a table is loose and passive, I open up my starting hand requirements; when it's loose and aggressive I pretty much play my normal game. Don't you find that you leave money on the table otherwise?

If I was to offer advice to a new player it would be to learn how the software works at the play money tables, but please don't learn how to play poker there. Get into the smallest real money limit games for your learning. Now that I think about it, there are other sites that offer even lower limits than Party's .50/$1. such as the Prima Network of sites, Paradise, or UltimateBet. I might send a new player there first. They are all as solid as Party.
